Not because we wanted to keep it quiet, but because we had to: the list was under embargo until the evening of 7 October, and nobody outside the judging panel could be told. Sitting on news like this for four months has been harder than it sounds. The Times profile mentions 60,000 patients. Behind every one of those numbers is a person, a family, and someone in our team who answered the phone, checked the prescription, packed the cold-chain box and knocked on the door. Together, this year’s fifty turn over £1.4bn and employ 8,500 people across 55 towns and cities. **That is the list PHP is now on.** A clinical homecare pharmacy that started at a rented desk in Tamworth, alongside some of the most ambitious businesses in the UK. That does not happen without the team behind it.
