PHP DTAC assessment success

Personal Homecare Pharmacy has passed the DTAC assessment. Learn about what we do in the homecare sector – and how we achieved success in the assessment.

We have officially met clinical safety standards and passed the Digital Technology Assessment Criteria by NHSx

The DTAC ensures that companies meet NHS standards in the following five components: Clinical Safety, Data Protection, Technical Security, Interoperability, and Usability and Accessibility.

Each component of the DTAC is assessed under a pass/fail criteria, except for Usability and Accessibility, which is given a percentage score.

We are pleased to say that PHP is officially DTAC compliant – with a pass in every component – and a 70% score in the Usability and Accessibility section.

The assessment has helped us validate our system, as well as identify some areas that can be further improved – and we are keen to use these recommendations regarding accessibility. Building on our current statement means that we can gain full compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines standards.

Having been in the industry for over 10 years, PHP is a leading provider of homecare delivery services throughout the UK. Working in partnership with pharmaceutical companies and publicly funded health systems (NHS), we make sure that our patients get the care they deserve – they are at the forefront of everything we do. For example, our informative portals provide:

  • videos on medication usage
  • storage instructions
  • real-time delivery updates
  • proper handling and transportation of cold medicines with our GDP and NHS-approved partners – all with high-tech pharmacy setup and packaging.

PHP constantly seeks to innovate and apply its expertise to new areas, primarily servicing the NHS, private healthcare patients and delivering pharma funded services. This includes the use of modern technology such as AI document processing and e-commerce business systems to bring the latest ideas to homecare dispense and delivery services.

We may not be the largest homecare pharmaceutical company, but we believe we are the best – creating a seamless service while striving for simpler, more practical processes. Compared to larger corporations, we offer a more personalised, reliable, and friendly touch.

Our staff are highly trained and equipped with technology-led infrastructure capable of dealing with the healthcare industry's demanding needs.

PHP is regulated by: The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
